Anatomic & Surgical Pathologist

The Department of Pathology at The Miriam Hospital and the Rhode Island Hospital affiliated with the Lifespan Physician Group is seeking an Anatomic / Surgical Pathologist to join the Lifespan Academic Medical Center in Providence, RI.
This is an exciting opportunity for a board certified or eligible pathologist with expertise in genitourinary, gastrointestinal, or pulmonary pathology.
 
The successful candidate will:
  • Develop and maintain an independent research program in the general areas of surgical pathology
  • Participate in the teaching of residents and fellows
  • Supervise clerkships for medical students at Brown University
  • Providing instructional support to the medical technologist training programs
 
To be considered you will need:
  • MD or equivalent
  • Board certification or eligible in Anatomic Pathology by the American, Canadian or UK equivalent
  • Qualify for a full-time medical faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to Associate Professor
  • Experience in a university hospital or comparable institution with an active oncology service
  • Must qualify for a full-time medical faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor to Associate Professor
  • Candidates applying at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor must have the national and international reputation and scholarly achievements appropriate to each level
