Rhode Island & Newport Hospitals have openings for an outpatient psychiatrist, choose to work in Newport or East Providence.
In our East Providence office, you will join a team of psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed social workers, and community treatment specialists. Our program offers tailored, personal, and coordinated treatment for patients age 18+ older who are experiencing a variety of mental health and behavioral health conditions.
In Newport you will join a team of six other psychiatrists working just a short walk to the beaches of Newport, RI. This adult, outpatient position is based on the main campus of Newport Hospital treating patients with a variety of mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD and psychosis. Our programs encompass a comprehensive view of mental health that includes and integrates the biological, psychological and social dimensions of care. Both sites are part of the Lifespan Physician Group (LPG), the largest multi-specialty group of physicians in Rhode Island and the major affiliate of Brown Medical School and Brown University. About the position:
Full time, M-F
Patient panel consists mainly of with mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD and psychosis
Option to incorporate partial hospital program into your practice
Outstanding administrative support
Weekend call is no more than 1:6
Patients are seen in 15-, 30- or 60-minute blocks
6 hours patient facing and 2 hours admin time per day
Potential for clinical teaching and academic appointment to Brown University
