Bradley Hospital, a teaching hospital of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and affiliated partner of the Lifespan Physician Group, has an exciting opportunity for a child & adolescent psychologist with interest in working with patients in our Children’s Inpatient Unit (CIU). About the job:
Full or part time clinically focused position working on an inpatient program.
Work with patients ages 5-12, and their families, who are in need of stabilization, assessment and treatment.
Treat children with a broad range of mental health conditions including depression, anxiety, PTSD/trauma, ADHD and other externalizing and internalizing disorders.
Function as a primary clinician providing diagnostic assessments, individual therapy, family consultation, overseeing group therapy, consultation to the multidisciplinary team, and treatment planning.
Partner with CIU leadership to advance program quality, develop and deliver staff development and engagement initiatives, and contribute to staff supervision and education as warranted by program needs and goals.
Potential for teaching and supervision opportunities with an academic appointment to Brown Medical School.
Collaborative research opportunities may be available.
About you:
PhD or PsyD with an internship from an APA-accredited program, Child/Family specialization
Postdoctoral experience with Child/Family emphasis encouraged
Licensed or license-eligible in Rhode Island
Passion for working with inpatient-level of care and treatment of children
Team-oriented professional and a desire to work collaboratively in a team-based care model for youth struggling with complex psychosocial and behavioral health needs
