Brown University Health has an opening for a BC/BE psychiatrist at our community-based Newport Hospital, an affiliated hospital of the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Working as part of a well-supported team there is continuity of care with a full consult service, expanding outpatient services and well-established relationships within the community. You will treat patients with a variety of mood disorders, anxiety, PTSD and psychosis. Our programs encompass a comprehensive view of mental health that includes and integrates the biological, psychological and social dimensions of care. About the Position:
15 bed unit, covered by two psychiatrists
Patients aged 18+, unit accepts elderly patients depending on functional status
Inpatient behavioral health team includes nurses, psych techs, social workers, recreation therapist
Call schedule is shared equitably within the group, typically 1:6 week
Potential to teach medical and PA students with an academic appointment to Brown or Johnson & Wales if desired
EMR is EPIC
