Outpatient Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation – Brown Academic Appointment

Brown University Health has an opening for a board certified or eligible physiatrist with an interest in neurorehabilitation to join our growing, academically oriented Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department. This position is based in Providence, RI.
About the job:
In an outpatient setting you will focus on expansion of general, musculoskeletal, and neurorehabilitation services
Provide care on a lifelong basis, including related medical, physical, psychological, and vocational disabilities and complications
Champion the transdisciplinary approach, providing evidence-based and goal-directed care across all environments
Onsite dedicated therapists (PT, OT, SLP, Audiology and Aquatic)
Partner with education, social, and community services
Prefer proficiency in incorporating EMG/NCV (electro-diagnostics)
Leadership opportunities
Guided Ultrasound for office-based procedures
EMR – Epic
Academic appointment opportunity at Brown University with expected teaching responsibilities for residents and medical students
Call will be determined based on staffing
About you:
Board certified or eligible in physiatry
Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
2-3 years’ experience preferred but not required

The Department of PM&R includes multiple outpatient clinics, with a focus on neurorehabilitation, including concussion/TBI, spinal cord injury, and spasticity management. We also manage general rehabilitation patients with musculoskeletal needs, prosthetics and orthotics, wheelchair management, and oncological rehabilitation
